Today Trish Rosseel and I demo'd AskAway to enthusiastic faculty and staff from institutions around the province at the Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG) Spring Workshop in Kamloops. Their excitement and interest in the service reminded me how important it is to market the service to the educators at our institutions.

As of May 2, UBC has moved all RefWorks accounts to a Canadian server. Other BC institutions that subscribe to RefWorks may have done the same.
We have done a lot of publicity about the change, so questions should be minimal. If you do get asked, the new web address is: https://refworks.scholarsportal.info and users will have to download the Write-N-Cite utility again.

Come to the next AskAway brown-bag presentation to learn how to access the AskAway Google Calendar to view the open shifts and to indicate that you can cover a shift.
There will be tips for Google Calendar newbies and veterans.

AskAway Brown-Bag lunches are back!
Our first brown-bag lunch of the summer is going to be a little different. We will be having a "roundtable discussion" about netiquette, online communication, and dealing with difficult patrons.
Everyone is invited to bring their questions, answers, suggestions, and workarounds.
If you are able to bring a microphone, please do so - I will be available from 12:00 onwards to assist with audio setup.
